Celebration Giveaway Party Pt. 1

My Etsy shop's fifth anniversary was in May and it went by without much thought.  I realized that My Blog is also 5...this month, I think.  My birthday is coming up in a few weeks and so I am combining them all together for a Celebration Giveaway.  This is the first one of five. I don't have a schedule for the giveaways except the last one will be given away on October 12th...well because that is my birthday. :) This first gift is this sweet little Sunflower Pendant on a crinkle ribbon, perfect for a bit of autumn to wear.

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this post and tell me what your favorite thing about autumn is...or things if you are like me and can never choose just one. I will choose the winning comment on Tuesday, September 18th.

blessings, Zuda Gay

The colors and fragrance of Autumn stir my senses like no other season.

The warm orange, gold and browns are my favorite palette, and the scent of burning leaves; wood stoves and fireplaces; cinnamon and cider...it goes on and on :o)

By far my FAVE time of year!

What a wonderful way to celebrate, Zuda! Fall is my favorite season, and like you, there are multiple reasons. I love the cooler temperatures, the crispness to the air and the crinkliness of fallen leaves, the changing colors of the season, and the scents of harvest, dominated by pumpkin and spice. It is a time of the year when people begin wearing beautiful sweaters as they take long walks, unfettered by the oppressive, moist heat typical of a Midwestern summer. An autumn rain purges the air, making it smell sweet and clean. That's probably more than you wanted to know, but there's not much I don't love about autumn! :-)

I love the profusion of COLOR! And this past week, I've experienced the joy of walking home through scattered acorns and watching the robin redbreasts and squirrels hop and scamper around. They're so excited!

The cooler air that sneaks in, while Summer holds on with fraying fingers of leaves. The evening comes earlier now, gone are the fireflies and locust hums, but here now is a more peaceful, somehow relaxed glow which covers my horizon. One goodbye is another hello. My favorite thing about Autumn? There are simply too many to name.

Congrats on your Etsyversary - upcoming birthday. What a perfect way to celebrate than to share what you do so well.
What do I love about Fall - mainly I think are the memories. When I was young my grandfather would take my sister and I to an apple farm with homemade apple cider and hot donuts - I continue this tradition with my kids, donuts, hot cider and all. We would love to rake the leaves (do children today even know what a rake is?) we would rake them into a big pile, then jump into them. Driving upstate NY just to view the changing colors of the trees, which I still do with my kids. The smells of fireplaces lighting, the excitement of Halloween. So many memories to recall with a smile, that I was able to continue the traditions with my children, and now little Zachary (my grandson).

The smells! Leaves, falling, burning, wet after a rain. Pumpkins, the last harvests from the garden, turned earth from planting bulbs and corms, fresh apples. And of course, all the autumn spicy cooking smells, pumpkin pie, nutbreads, apple cider...
Every season has it's smells, but there's something about the rich, headiness of autumn aromas that puts all the others to shame.

There was always something in the air in Autumn that would cause me to breathe a little deeper. The colors, the aromas - if I was working a full time job I didn't want to be indoors. Telling my girls and grandson that God is having the best time painting right now and his pallet is yellow, orange, gold mixed with sunshine and washed with rain.

I like the colors and the fresh scent of cooler weather. I especially enjoy fall flowers and the colored leaves (although we may not have many of those this year with the drought we've had, which makes me sad). I enjoy such variation in color, from pale yellows to oranges to reds, browns, and even some funky greens. It's just a time of year that makes me smile. Smiles, Sue C

This would be such a perfect gift for my boyfriend's mom! She loves sunflowers! :)

Let's see... Although I don't like cold weather, I do like the feeling of putting on a warm sweater and getting cozy. I love bonfires and hayrides, pumpkins, and chili cookouts! I always seem to look back on fall time with such warmth and good memories.

I love about authumn that the weather(here in Belgium atleast) isn't too cold but neither too hot. It's cold enough to get under a blanket but not freezing. But I do love the cosyness, snuggling up with your loved one/pets/children and just enjoy an early evening of relax. As it gets darker earlier aswell compared to summer.Which can also have it's benefits.Other than that I love the fact that the leaves are falling, creating a beautiful rainbow of colours on the ground. And it's the perfect occassion to enjoy a nice walk in the woods! It gives me also memories of my childhood, going on schooltrips during authumn.Collecting all the beautiful things that the nature creates. And be fascinated by it.

Hugs to you Zuda, you make the most beautiful clay flowers I have ever seen.

I love the sounds of Autumn. Still can't resist kicking the leaves like we did as kids. Love to hear the trees rustle when there is a breeze. And, of course, the beautiful colors.

Lovely flower crafted by a lovely lady... :) Would love to win this for my Mom.

Love the fall colors on the trees and the crisp cool air. Makes working outdoors so much fun. A perfect time for painting, raking leaves, cleaning off flower beds, and watching the birds at my feeders and birdbaths.
